Excessive Sweating Treatment Billericay
Tired of Feeling Embarrassed by Sweat Patches?
You’re not alone—and you’re not stuck with it either.
Excessive underarm sweating (also known as axillary hyperhidrosis) affects millions of people and can have a real impact on confidence, clothing choices, and daily comfort. If you’ve tried every deodorant under the sun and are still feeling self-conscious, there is a medically backed solution that can help.
At Skin Enhance and Wellness, we offer doctor-led treatment for excessive sweating using anti-wrinkle injections, a safe and effective way to reduce sweat production and restore confidence.
What Causes Excessive Sweating?
Sweating is your body’s natural way of cooling down, but in hyperhidrosis, the sweat glands—especially the eccrine glands—become overactive, producing sweat far beyond what’s needed.
There are two main types of sweat glands:
-
Eccrine glands – Found on the underarms, palms, soles, and face. These produce clear, odourless sweat to cool you down.
-
Apocrine glands – Located in the underarms and groin, they produce a thicker sweat that causes body odour when it interacts with skin bacteria.
In people with hyperhidrosis, the eccrine glands are overstimulated, often without any obvious cause.
You’re Not Alone
According to the International Hyperhidrosis Society, around 5% of the world’s population—over 365 million people—experience excessive sweating. So if you’re struggling with this, know that help is available and effective treatment options exist.

Anti-wrinkle injections
Following a face-to-face consultation, anti-wrinkle injections can be injected into the sweat glands. Here, it blocks the signal from the nerve to the glands. This will stop the gland from producing sweat. Over a period this effect will wear off resulting in symptoms returning.
