Lip Filler Billericay

What’s the Secret to Beautiful, Natural-Looking Lips?

Full, well-defined lips are universally seen as attractive—but not everyone is born with them. Some naturally have thinner lips, while others notice a gradual loss of volume, shape, or definition over time. Factors like ageing, collagen loss, genetics, and lifestyle (such as smoking) can all contribute to flatter lips and fine lines around the mouth.

At Skin Enhance and Wellness, I offer lip enhancement treatments that are carefully tailored to your needs—whether you’re looking to restore youthful volume, enhance your natural shape, or correct asymmetry.

There are two main reasons people choose lip filler:

1. To reverse age-related changes like volume loss, fine lines, and lip deflation

2. To enhance the lips with more volume, symmetry, and definition—or a subtle combination of all three

I use premium hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers that not only restore shape and structure but also deeply hydrate the lips by attracting and holding moisture. This results in a smoother, softer, and more supple lip texture. Once injected, the filler integrates seamlessly with your tissue for a natural, long-lasting finish—not a ‘done’ look.

For those seeking a subtler approach, I also offer the lip flip, a treatment using anti-wrinkle injections (botulinum toxin) to gently relax the muscle around the mouth. This allows the top lip to roll slightly outward, creating a fuller appearance without adding volume. The lip flip takes up to two weeks to show results and may need to be repeated more frequently than filler.

At Skin Enhance and Wellness, Billericay, the goal is always to enhance your natural beauty—not change your face.
If you’re unsure whether filler or a lip flip is right for you, I’d love to help. During your in-depth consultation, we’ll explore all your options and create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your facial proportions and aesthetic goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I look dramatically different after this treatment?
Dr Tash’s ethos is to give you a refreshed and restored appearance so the treatment is tailored to your requirements. The effects are so subtle you may not look any different to loved ones who see you on a daily basis. The fillers we choose in Skin Enhance Clinic are extremely successful at integrating with your natural collagen to give a smooth appearance.
Can the filler move to other areas?
No. The fillers we use in our Skin Enhance Clinic have been licenced and researched for many years. Once injected the product stays where it is injected and does not move anywhere else.
Is the treatment painful?
Everyone’s pain threshold is different and most fillers now come with a local anaesthetic (lidocaine) that means the treatment can be done without any additional anaesthetic, but please discuss with Dr Tash if an anaesthetic cream is needed. The technique for the treatment can be with the use of a needle or a cannula and Dr Tash is trained in both techniques and will choose the right delivery option for the best outcome.
What can I expect immediately after the treatment?
You can see the effects of the filler immediately after the treatment. There is usually some redness, soreness, and swelling that will subside within a few hours. Using an ice pack will help with these mild symptoms.
What can go wrong with the treatment?
Dr Tash is confident with her skills. If there is a problem with the site of the product or the patient does not like the outcome she will inject a protein to rapidly dissolve the filler safely, within a few hours.

You will always have Dr Tash’s personal number to contact at any time for reassurance.

How long do dermal fillers last?
The duration of a filler varies depending on your lifestyle and the product chosen and where it is injected. It is gradually broken down by the body and disappears over 6-9 months.
Are there any circumstances when you might not be able to have this treatment?
You can’t have the treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you have certain medical conditions affecting your immune system or allergies. If you have active infection at the site of filler placement it would not be advisable to have filler treatment at that time.
Can dermal filler treatment be done alongside other treatments?
Yes, it is safely done with other treatments like anti-wrinkle injections and fillers to other areas like lips or cheeks.
Is there anything I can’t do before or after the treatment?
Avoiding the following for a few days before treatment and for 24hours after treatment can reduce swelling and bruising:

  • Excessive alcohol consumption
  • Anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen
  • Vitamins supplements like fish oils, omega-3 fatty acids, high dose vitamin E, garlic, gingko biloba and St John’s wort

Any medication being taken that can increase bleeding like blood thinners or steroids must not be stopped and must be discussed with Dr Tash.

It is also recommended you are careful when washing after the filler treatment, avoid rubbing the area and avoid make up for 24hours to reduce any risk of infection. Your aftercare will be discussed in more detail at the face-to-face consultation.

If I stop having the treatment would I look worse than I started off with?
No. If you do decide not to continue with your treatment, then your face will gradually return to how it looked before treatment. Some people have the treatment regularly, for example, every year to maintain their appearance and there is evidence to suggest that the filler stimulates your body to produce more collagen.
How much will the treatment cost?
This is dependent on the amount of filler and the desired outcome. Treatments are often staggered over a period of time. There are payment plans available at Skin Enhance Clinic to spread the cost of the treatment.
